I would do a full rebuild. If one is that bad, how good are the other three

It all depends, I have done rebuilds on 22re's for around $600, but I have been building engines for years, and have a friend that owns a machine shop.

I bought a complete kit off of ebay 3 weeks ago with shipping it was $295, but I just done a quick rebuild, Bottom line you get out what you put into it, so take your time and have the crank checked, and the rods if its knocking that bad

go to engnbldr...you'll definitely need a FULL gasket set (might as well do the whole thing ya know)..and a new set of bearings..then you have the option of a cam..you could bore the block and put in bigger cylinders..you could go all out and get a performance head too..lol

but if you're just wantin to get it done..i would say parts alone will be around $200-$275

full rebuild..with cam..new clutch and labor(CHEAP labor at that..he worked for pretty cheap..but he was really slow lmao) was around $1300..thats with a new crank.and new rods..lol

Only on a toyota 22R or a farm tractor would I do this. And if this happened to me this is exactly what I would do.
