Reverse grinding

I have a 1990 toyota pickup v6 extra cab and whenever i put it into reverse, it fights me the whole time and grinds quite a bit. It also seems to grab right off the floor. I bought it about a month ago and they guy before me put a new clutch in. We thought the grinding could be worn out clutch master cylinder or slave not having enough pressure, so we swapped them out and bled... Still grinds. It also goes into 1st a little harder than all the others. Anyone have an idea what my problem could be? Perhaps as simple as adjusting the clutch pedal?
-thank you

try going from first or second then into rev when the clutch is in...when truck is stopped

mine always did this so i just mad a habit to do that... heard it might be a syncro or shifter bushing

toyota DONT LIKE TO GO INTO FIRST unless your almost at a dead stop..just the way they have always been

most deff. check top side free play in pedal and adjust slave to take out all but 1 inch. that might have been the failure of the last clutch. if it wasnt disengaging all the way. most toys start grabbing about half way up and full engage at 3/4 up.

i have the same problem they way the trannies are designed it grinds while going into reverse if you put it in second and then reverse it will stop that but that will make it lock so it won't go into gear sometimes. if that happens pop the clutch a little so it turns the tranny a pit and it should fall right in, as for first you just have to go slow and push hard. once the syncro's are worn out it makes it so you have to push harder to get it in gear, and first gears sycros seam to wear out first.

sorry i'm bad at spelling. the reverse gear doesn't have syncros so that is not the problem with the clutch petal nor could it be. i would say that problem would be a hydrolic problem. try tapping the clutch petal a couple of times before pushing it in and it will build up at much pressure as possible then try driving it. if that doesn't work i would take it to a shop to check more indepth.
