no cat + no muffler
ive been doing some exaust work(my tail pipe is hitting my frame) and other clearence issues so its all taken appart being bent and welded back into better shapes. currently there is nothing on my truck and its LOUD. still, i have class that i cant miss. so i drive it anyway. not for long i NEED to get that crap back on because i dont want to get pulled over and im scared its bad for my engine. thats why im starting this thread. how bad for my motor is it to be running like this? what i dont want to do it hurt/damage my engine. so if for a few days its not going to hurt then im fine and i'll finish my exaust today and everything will be fine im just paranoid that im going to blow something up.

I had to run open header for a few days a few years back...friends could hear me across campus.
I will be driving across town on monday to get my new exhaust on, open header.
To answer your ?, I dont think you can harm the engine with either a header or a manifold and down pipe.

This is the reason we stick with 2.25" pipe, backpressure helps the bottom end. No backpressure = no bottom end.
