If you're trying to make up for all that block height and the AAL's with springs its going to be stiff. Maybe even stiffer than it is now. Can you deal with this? No weight in the back and tall springs=crap ride. I assume its a street truck and doesn't really get out on the trails. Is that right?

yep,, you're right...
90% of the time would be street and 10% gravel or no pavement...

When did Downey Off-Road go out of business? I was in contact with them just this past April (2009) and no one indicated they were shutting down.

They had some nice conversion kits and parts (although a bit pricey).

super lift # 7007

and found some 6" and 7" rear lift from skyjacker, the sales man said " bolt on"
wich one to get ? to get the truck even with the front or just a little lower in the back.

im reading and asking but cant get a straight answer... please , help me to get rid of this!!!

i heard something like i have to go 1"-2" higher in the front compared to the rear , just to even it out.
so that means i have to look for a 5" lift in the back just to get even with the 7" fronts ??

If your front is a 7" kit, then try a 3" rearched spring in the back with a 2" lift block to get a total of 5" lift to keep the truck level.

If you want it to ride a little more "nose heavy" then try a 4" spring and 2" lift block. This will give you a little bit of light hauling capabilities without the truck looking like its dragging its butt around...lol

BTW...Sweet Ride.

lol...yep im trying to avoid dragging the butt..

right now i want to get rid of the blocks...
4" lift springs with 5" shackles.. aprox 5" overall..

in fact i was about to buy a rear kit yesterday...but then i spoke with a yota fellow..
and pointed me out about the " carry load " these springs can hold..

i got to be honest and home depot is my walmart..lol...i need SOME carry capabilities..

how much load these crawler springs can hold?... like 500 lbs? 750lbs?
at least something that i can throw some 500lbs of bricks without sagging..u know..

the more i find , more questions i have.. neverending tale..!

With that much lift, I think you can sag all the way home from the Depo and never worry about bottoming out. Factor in some correct height bump stops to be sure. (measured after the lift is on)
