SWEEEET Rig!
1985 4Runner, I like your truck and foresee you and your nephew having hours of fun in the future. I have a question for you though, when and where is the 4Runner Jamboree you mentioned?
Peace.

Thanks, It actually works very well for the way the truck is set up,and I've only seen one other 1st gen. that could run 44's but it was a show truck. Like I said, it is a work in progress and all comments/suggestions are welcome. I just can't fit it in the garage... ![]() |

Sounds good, I am going to trailer it up there for obvious reasons, but I would be happy to meet you somewhere in Charlotte. |

Thanks, my nephew has lots of time to learn proper driving technique on road and off, and will also learn to tread lightly.
I plan on reducing the body lift down to 2" after I make the necessary mods to drop it down. It had the 4" when I got it,(I bought it as you see it), I will post some more pics of the underside of the truck so everyone can see what I am working with. I am sure I will be asking for advice from those of you who can help. I hope to have the truck ready by May for the 4Runner Jamboree, I would'nt try to take it off-road as it is now. Thanks for all the posts, & I should have some new pics up soon.

Came across a good deal on some racing seats, so I decided to get them. Pulled out the old SR5 passenger seat, and found out just how bad the rust was on the body mounts. see pics.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The front is really bad. rusted all the way through, the center ones are ok, and the rear by the wheel well is bad too. Not what I had hoped to find, so now that has to be fixed, but the frame is is great shape.

So, I am waiting for the new seats to arrive, might as well put the old ones up for sale. There's a thread in the Marketplace classifieds for them if anyone is interested.
