Im new here and I have a nasty yota, but I need some help

First let me say hi to all the members here. I have gotten alot of useful info from your forums, but I still have some questions.

I can guarantee that you havent seen a Yota quite like mine. It is a Drag Racer. I have a 360 small block chevy in it. The topper is that it has a handbuilt alum tow truck bed on it.

What I am in need of help with is the nose. It is an 84, but I am wanting to jazz it up. I see these custom truck all over with different bumpers (I think 93ish) and different fenders that are square and dont have the marker light. I would like to do somethin like that with mine.

The other thing I am looking for is a picture of the Unlimited Cowl hood in the 6" variety. I saw the 4" on here and it is sweet, but wont clear my small block. I thought about getting a smooth wiper cowl and molding it together with the hood and putting my own scoop on that goes back to the windshield.

Anyways my main questions are what does it take to put the 89-95 fenders on my 84 or do guys buy these other fenders or make them.

Thank you for your help in advance. Here is a couple pics of mine...

Sweet!!! Welcome to Yotatech, I would say that the people here are more in tuned with the 4wd, but there is a lot of technical information on here too!!!

Now for your question...I have no answer!!!

Whats you best time and speed in that truck, is it 1/8th or 1/4??

I just built the 360 so I am not exactly sure yet on what it will run. I think somewhere around 10.70 or 10.80. I am getting it ready to run in the Pinks All Out race at Indy.

With the old 406 in it I ran a best of 10.22 @ 130 in the 1/4 and 6.439 @ 106 in the 1/8 with a 1.42 60 foot.

It draws a crowd whereever I take it, I am just wanting to update it a little bit.

In the winter my daily driver is a run of the mill 98 Chevy truck, but in the summer I drive my 67 Chevy truck.

It has air ride on it.

I am partial to the Yota, but my dragster is more fun to drive.

It has a 738 horsepower small block in it and has ran a best of 8.18 @ 162 mph in the 1/4.

Nice 67! I had a 67 stepside... nothing special. Just kid's hotrod with a 350 and the 700R4 tranny. Then sold it for a Datsun 240z... still get criticisms.

Anyway, I'm digging the Yota dragster! Thought about throwing a 350 in my buddy's beat up 87. I've seen one of these trucks with an aftermarket grille that hid the head lights. Went from sidemarker to sidemarker. You oughta look into that... could be sick.

Thanks Guys here is a pic of what I would like the front of mine to look like, but I need a big hood to clear the motor.

I just dont know what the heck these fenders are or if they put fillers in them or something.

The bumper and valance are from an 89-94 toy truck. You see that done alot in Minitruckin magazine.

Nice trucks!
