Hey Roger, just so you know. My performance accessories kit came with big wide pucks for the cab. Not skinny ones you pictured...... Just to clear things up.

Good goin on the lift, and about that warrenty, if you install a suspension lift you void it

Yes, I think PA finally started making the larger diameter blocks a few years back. I know the first few I saw were all the small OD blocks. In fact that was how the first Tacoma kit was developed. A local guy had the PA kit on his Tacoma and was fed up with the small OD fiberglass blocks and how they kept squeaking and working loose all the time. So we made him a set of replacement blocks out of UHMW and that was the start of the Tacoma kits.

Ahhh, okay. I just wanted to make sure I noticed they still used the skinny pucks for the front clip and bed. I would not feel safe using blocks that small under the cab!

Yes, the front body mounts are smaller diameter and no real need for larger blocks there, in fact there is probably not room for anything much larger than the body mount bushing, which is under 2" dia. Same on the bed, the frame (where the bed rests) is about 2" wide and the bed rails(which rest on the frame) are about 2" wide. You could put something larger there if you were so inclined, but all the extra block surface hanging out in the air would do no good.

No doubt. Probably had something like rust or other damage going on that contributed to the problem.

You can have have any sort of modification done poorly and have a bad result. Heres' my favorite, lift blocks on the front axle and cut/welded extensions for the steering arm:

The two rubber hoses that go through the firewall about the middle, you need to disconnect those hoses to drop the clutch line below for clearance.

Only thing I had to do with the shifters was to cut the sheet metal that surrounds the shift boot (metal bracket that clamps the boot down) around 1st and 2nd gear. Works okay but I would rather do something else to fix it.

I got 2" springs, Rancho rs5000 shocks, and a set of wider wheels (for some tires when I get them) from someone for $250, and the body lift was right at $80 or so, give or take $10/$20. You have a point, and like I said; hind sight's 20:20

That sounds like fun! I have heard about that happening, that's why I'll be getting some grade 8 hardware to replace whatever was in the kit, and I'll just hope for the best.

First of all,

Second, how do they know I didn't already have a suspension lift

and third, what a load a crap! oh well, I guess if I decide on the 2" I can always modify!
