85 toyota 4 runner code reader

im looking to find a 85 toyota code reader that will work on my 4runner if any one knows where i can get one or would sell one . . let me knoww. or do they on board dianogstics readers

then after you do that the checkengin light will flash right? well does anyone have a chart for the codes when the light does flashh ?

Yes, read the information on the web page I posted a link to above. It has the testing procedure as well as a description of the trouble codes.
