85 Pickup No heat issue
Heres me and my truck (84 toyota 22re swap header stage 3 cam, chip hybrid rears and tj springs up front chevy springs in the rear ect....) were working on getting a bumper....
The heater isn't working so I am freezing my a$$ off snow wheeling... any ideas? the hoses to the heater core are warm and heater kinda works after awhile but still not warm enough... my temp stays normal and heats decently fast...??

Flush the core out. Disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses in the engine bay. Get a pt style spray nozzle for the garden hose and wedge it in and flush. Worked for me on every clogged core I've dealt with.

check the wire that the switch activates at the inlet to the heater core. Mine has come disconnected before and took me a little while to find it. On the fire wall towards the middle of the driver's side. Should be a coupler between two hoses with a wire connected to the bottom of it. make sue the wire is connected. Right next to the master cylinder.

Kjoslyn you might have the same problem I did where the wire does not move in an out. All I did was open that valve by hand till the valve started leaking then I just took the valve out and "permanently" bypassed it.

Thanks for the move!
It almost appears that the linkage is there but the valve has been removed...
Check out these 2 threads when you have some time.

Hey there 92_Toy...Nice of you to help help out...
Do you have any good images of the firewall in and about that area. I checked to see what I have and I didn't have anything useful in that area. Almost looks as if something there is missing. Maybe just me though.
