Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone happens to have a copy of the 1984 pickup FSM, I have the 85 FSM but from what I understand the torque specs changed significantly from 84 to 85 and I have an 84 truck. Any help would be appreciated. Bummer that TTORA doesn't have them anymore.

The ones that were on TTORA are still available elsewhere. There never was a pre-85 FSM there to begin with though.

Thanks for the info mudhippy! Anyone know how much different the 83 is from the 84 in terms of motor and running gear? Obviously the body is different but I thought the motor and trans and the rest of the mechanicals are pretty much the same? I am hoping between the 85 FSM and the 83 FSM I will have my 84 covered lol! Thanks again.

Aaron, Which one are you looking for? As I understand it Toyota sent TTORA a cease and desist threat on the FSM's so they are probably still out there but might take some searching to find.

Now that I think about it 85 and up may work I don't think there was that much difference between a w56a and a w56b.

I have a digital searchable version of the 1985 FSM. Most of the time these old ones are not searchable but I went through and made this one searchable so if it helps you let me know of your email and I will send it to you.

Another question for the yotatechs out there. As we have found the torque specs change from the early to late 22r models in the 84-85 year change, what happens with an 84 if its torqued to the newer specs? Anyone know? I wouldn't think that they would be so different that you could damage things but just curious.
