will a 22r head fit on a 20 r block?
i know this is the opposite of the "hybrid motor but this is what I have laying around and I just blew up the motor in my truck. I guess my questions are.. will they bolt up to each other? Will the timing chain be long enough or too short?? Anybody got any insight to this?? Any and all help is appreciated

reasons depend on which year 22r head, but in short piston to head clearance when using a post 85 head. When using a pre 85 head then you will have issues with compression ratio. Those come to the top of my head. I'm playing poker right now so no time to think haha.

ok sounds about right since the 20 r raises compression on the 22r motor, a 22r would lower compression on a 20 r block. and its a 86 head so no bueno. oh ya I got a full house
