What size U-bolts are needed on a 1980 pu with 2" lift blocks?
Hello,
I picked up a 1980 Longbed 4x4 this summer (20R, converted to a 5spd, 134k...yeah!...it replaced the 82 that I should have never sold!). It appears that new springs were installed in the front but the back seems like it is stock. From the ride, they must be Rancho as I seem to "hop" over speed bumps rather than absorb them. Anyway....there is some lift to them as the truck is not level and is raised in the front. I jacked up the back of the truck and determined that 2 inches would level it out. Just so happens that I found some 2 inch blocks on Craigslist but they did not come with U-bolts. What size should I be looking for and does anyone have a good reference to find them?
Thanks in advance.
Also...if anyone has a decent shape dash for this truck (tan or brn) I could use one of those too!

If you do want to install the blocks and need longer u-bolts, measure what you have and add 2" to the length:

Rancho carries a good selection of u-bolts, look under the Catalog/specs listing:

So what's the downside of blocks? I see them on trucks all the time. The most this truck will see are logging roads with the occassional need to go up and over some hills. Here's the truck below.
