If I can get theese pics to load you would see that it is factory installed. It is literally made to the bed. I did find out that it was made in japan if that makes a difference

the passenger side bar may be notched but the two middle bars like this / \ are butted up against the window frame.

dunno what you are looking for on this...you aren't gonna get a confirmation that it was some special edition limited rare collector item. Some previous owner just added some stuff

Thats a FACTORY Toyota headache rack. I think you're all misudnerstanding the OP's question, he's not talking about the big black smitty lookn 80's rollbar (probably off a nissan) he's talking about the headache rack.

You wont find it on any toyota ever imported to the US market but that was common on Foreign models. Even to this day they still have beds like that.

Heres another one,

This ones a lil different, dunno if it's OEM or not.

Tho i think it's stock. Heres one on a bed off a 4 door 95+ somethin Hilux

Everywhere else but the US gets the cool factory trucks, sigh. So annoyin!

2010 Toyota HILUX with FACTORY "ladder rack". Thats what Toyota calls it

cheers

It is an aftermarket low cost rollbar available in the 1980's. The same bar was used on the Dodge Ram (Mini Truck), Datsun, LUV and others. The steel plate connecting the 2 hoops had decal type names such as "Dodge Ram" on it . They were bolt-in type units so I assume the bar in question came off another brand truck and that is why it is welded to the bed.
