weber carb tuning help needed
i recently bought and 81 pickup and rebuilt the head which needed guide seals. While i was at it a put in the 261 cam had the head shaved and cleaned, replaced all the ignition stuff and put on a extremly short exhuast ( 40 series right at the end of the old style long tube header) and put a used weber 32/36 back on the truck that was in the passenger seat with the intake manifold when i got it.
Got my timing set close enough to where the truck will fairly good but i am having carb problems. The truck will idle at around 1500 with the choke on and runs smooth at anythig nover 2000 rmps but with the choke off the truck wont idle. I have tried tunning it acording to the site several people have recomeded but it just doesnt seem to work.
Does anyone have the baseline that their weber is set at for a 22r? Some people have told me that mabey the 32/36 just can keep up with the high lift cam and exhuast? I have done my research and just am starting to get stuck.

the 32/36 should be able to handle anyhting done to a 22r
try these:
http://www.racetep.com/weberX.html
http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/Free...atics_s/76.htm
be sure nothing is clogged, including the fuel filter.
rebuilding them is simple
