vacc. lines with weber carb?
hey do any of you know what to keep and how to hook everything up when running a 32/36 weber with a 20r (federal). i dont plan on using the air pump (bearings shot), egr, or anything except the dist advance, and the evap system. PICTURES OF YOUR SETUP WOULD BE AMAZING.
i am having a hell of a headache with setting up this carb and getting it to run right (carb backfires and hesitation on acceleration around 2500-3000 rpm. papapaap then if i dont let off of the gas it will back fire. it is like it is getting choked out when it gets higher rpms. thanks

i have a 32\36 on my 20r. i have a vacuum line from the carb to the distributor. and one from the manifold to the brake booster (factory). all other ports on the intake were plugged with pipe fitting plugs threaded in them. all emissions parts removed. of course this is for off highway\trail use only.
my weber was acting the same way, i finally got it dialed in fairly close, it had been running super lean. went to a buddies shop, threw it on the engine analyzer machine thing or whatever and looked at the emissions. lean lean lean.
my carb came with the following jets installed
idle main 60
idle secondary 50
mains @ 140
i forget what the air correctors were...
rejetted and went from there.
i have a pretty aggressive cam and a header also.
if i remember right i think my jets are now as follows...
idle primary 70
idle secondary 60
mains are each 160 right now, when full throttle it still leans out a bit under heavy load at high rpm.
but im swappin over to a 22re in a month or so, so im ditchin all the carb junk and runnin efi.

i am running very rich (i think, black smoke and black plugs. also it floods very easy), i ran the vac advance to the carb hook up and the other to the IM. and ditched all of the other hoses and ran the vacc line form the evap to the IM. i live at 6500 and go from 5-8000ft. this is very frustrating, the choking and hessitation on accel are making me very irritable. i will post a video of what is happening tomorrow maybe someone can help then. thanks for the reply
