Need Help.....Horn stopped working

Ok, my horn just stopped working. I am getting power to the horn, but nothing at the contacts in the steering wheels. Is there a relay or something that i am not aware of? any ideas? I need a inspection sticker so need to figure it out ASAP.

When you press a horn button, try pushing the top of the steering wheel forward.

The contact on the back of my steering wheel has worn down from 30+ years of turning the wheel back and forth. It's a little peg on the column at about 11 o'clock.

I has same problem and could not pass saftey, so I made small shims washers about 0.020" think and inseted them, worked great. Does your horn work when you turn to the Left or Right?

Look between the steering wheel and the column, see the black round plunger? Good, see if its contacting the plate on the steering wheel. If not, remove steering wheel, turn it over, there is a round plate that the plunger in the column rubs on, remove screws from the plate, put washers on the screws to close the clearance gap between the plate and the plunger. Ive done this on 2 different truck with great success. Of course check to see if the horn works first before bothering with this method

Try jumping the truck. My friend and I jumped his 82 in a cornfield and after that the horn would always work (but only when turning)
