Update
Just for ˟˟˟˟s and giggles Im going to post what the charge light problem was.
It was a fusible link that had burned inside the wire, but the wire looked fine.
It was the large red wire coming from the positive battery terminal. I was feeling all the wires with my fingers until I felt that one and it felt like an overcooked top ramen noodle. The metal was gone inside the wire. I must have shorted something out after I rebuilt the carb and swapped the fuel out.
