Installed new L52/ceramic clutch, problems.

I have an 81 p/u. I put in a marlin L52 5spd. and a trail gear ceramic clutch yesterday. Everything is hooked up, bled the cluch slave, but the clutch is not engaging. Without pushing down the clutch pedal i can still shift the tranny. Any ideas what it could be?

Talked to a friend of mine whos a mechanic. He said that maybe i forgot to put the 2 clips that hold the clutch fork and throwout bearing hub together on. If i did would this cause this problem?

Order a 1979 Toyota 4x4 truck clutch slave cylinder; its adjustable with thread and locknuts.

i used a combination of this: the adjustable piston from the 79/80 with the 1981 slave cylinder.

the "adjustable " part of the slave cylinder (the pushrod) is a fairly easy piece to replicate . This is the only differance between the cylinders
the best way for an "adjustable " clutch ... which may help your problem

.

Yeah is this with the truck running or not? With the truck off, you will be able to shift through all the gears without pushing in the clutch.
