fill plug

well, my 83 front axle is giving me more problems than i hoped. smallest, most easily fixed (and most important, IMO), is that my fill plug for the diff is completely rounded, and the differential is ompletely fry of oil (it all spilled out when it rolled over in my truck bed after picking it up, the breather cap snapping off, and i didnt realize till the end of a 2-hour drive from the jersey shore to philly).

i guess my question here, is does anyone know if the Trail Gear or Marlin Crawler magnetic drain plug will fit in place of the stock fill plug?

Weld a nut (or short bolt... gives you more room to weld then a nut would) on the plug.
