Different Carburetor Floats?
Has anybody here experienced having a different float in the carb than someone else? I ask because i need to do a rebuild soon and plan to replace my float. But there seems to be two different floats out there supposedly. My dad owned the truck before and did a rebuild on it 2 years ago, and he says that i needed single rectangular float , but all of the parts stores tell me they are a double sided float and that i have a different carb, but it looks stock(comparing it to many others.
My problem is i cant find the rectangular float or if i due i have to order it and it cost a truck load. And i don't even know if it will fit. And i can t just have the truck MIA in its my Daily driver
Little bit of the trucks specifications Its a 2wd sr5 82 pick up.

I would take the top of the carb off and see what it looks like. It's really easy to do. Here is a good walkthrough from Pirate4x4.com.
