Budbuilt or Generic Cross-member Questions

This is probably a stupid question, but I couldn't seem to find the answer by searching, so here it is. Now I have a first gen pickup but it has a later series transmission that's five inches longer than stock, can I just use the later series aftermarket cross-member on my first gen? Will it just bolt up?

Ask Bud. He was really responsive and helpful when I emailed.

I just installed my 3RZ/W56-C and used a BudBuilt crossmember. The install was simple. The rear frame mounting holes for the OEM crossmember bolt to the front of the BudBuilt. You use OEM length rear u-bolts over the frame rails to secure the rear. Zero modifications and perfect fitment.
