I dont know which one I want to build now I know for fact my fav is the 81

so I guess Im gonna try to sell the 83 and keep the 81 and build it

or just keep building the 83 and keep them both

IDK so Ill figure it out ether way both builds are at a stop cuz its freezing outside and I dont have a garage

im kinda confused on the high steer idea you got goin on.. isnt that kinda defeating the purpose of the "high" part of the high steer or is that temporary till you get the arms?

the benefit of his modified high steer set up would be for a serious reduction of bump steer. in a true high steer set up, you get the elimination of bump steer and the added benefit of protection by the springs.

doing that to just the pass side gives it 'crossover' steering, not full 'high'-steer. the benefit is you have a much better drag link angle (less bump steer and less steering loss under flex) but the tie rod is still in the original location and still vulnerable.

honestly, unless you have lots of lift, just keep the stock push/pull system until you can have a safe unit installed, then go full hi-steer if you really want to.

Al

Im not worried about the tie rod being open to rocks I just want the high steer so when I brake my truck wont pull to the right cuz of the crappy push pull on it

and at this poing I just got a new 81 4x4 so I might just sell the 83 for what I paid for it!
