Ive got a 1981 Toyota 4x4 5 speed. Its missing real bad. Its hard to start. I usually pour gas in the carb to start it after foolin with it for a long time.
It misses horribly and i trid to drive it and in 1st gear it would instantlly tach out and shift to 2nd it would nearly die like lug badly. I replaced plugs. and checked firing order. Anyone know whats wrong.? PLZ Help

I'm gonna rebuild the carburetor then wires, cap , and rotor. Then fuel filter, pump. I don't think it is timing because it ran like a champ for a week. Then it sat for about 6 months and now this^^^. I'm gonna pop open the haynes manual and look around.
