Rattlesnake Bar, California

Heres all the photos I have from the trip we planned here in norcal lots of good/fun times... I got stuck, I blame it on the slick tire fault. no real carnage anywhere. we bumped into a pair of drunks cruising around in a old pathfinder, took hundreds of photos, socialized, and had a good time.

Attendees:

dark_fairytales
mak92-4RnR ( myself )
mktaco_98
highonpottery and his fiancee
space-junk and his girlfriend
RMA and his son

Album Status: Public

Getting gas before heading to Rattlesnake Bar

Checking tire PSI

MKtaco_98

Almost ready

The drive there

Almost there

Waiting for everyone to arrive

Drooling over RMA's 1UZ-FE

Getting the Tour

Dark_fairytales taking a quick dip

Checking how deep the water is

Wading around in the water

Dark_fairytales' Truck

MKtaco_98's Truck

Space-junk's Truck

MaK92-4RnR's Truck, again

RMA's Truck

And again

And again

From here on out, basically its just random pictures of us wheeling around doing obstacles ( Rattlesnake Bar isn't a trail based place, more of a drive around and play around ) So here's the Link

Fun Massive Pics! If I would have done that at another site....I would have been Banned! ....LOL

You do know that your 1st Gen air intake is just behind your drivers side headlight? Yikes!

I don't understand how you made it out. But! Good for you! The rock gods must have been with you!

sorry i dipped out early... but its prolly a good thing i did... truck nearly died on the way home... once while i was crossing auburn-folsom blvd... that one scared me...

but she made it... funny thing is, when i got home, i was upset at it and decided "what the hell, ill do it anyways" and cycled the ignition on and off 4 or 5 times... damned thing started every single time!!!

anyways, 160 bucks later, shes tuned up and running just fine... and FWIW, it wasnt the coil that was bad... i think it was the cap and rotor...

Thanks Space-Junk. That's cool!

I'm new here so go easy on me please!

I'm sorry I have not had time to figure out 62,785++ rigs yet.

But I'm trying my best.

I would love to stuff that engine in my 1st Gen!

Well finally made it home .. 3 1/2 hrs later .. man im tired ..

troy glad you made it home alright..
and yea at first I thought it was the coil because of that winding sound .. but after we took the cap off and cleaned the rotor.. it started and i kind of figured it was just a tune up that was needed.
any way again glad you made it home .. was good to meet you Man.

Logan .. yea i do need a snorkel and will be getting or making one here soon .. I did get lucky man .. a few times actually not only going thru the water i rushed one trail and started to almost flip my truck , had to back out and pick a new line ..ohh well rookies lol !!

Mak - seriously dude? 10 minutes and it was still loading pictures. don't need step by step photos just the really cool stuff. flat ground pics are a waste, 8 pictures to show someone going over a itty bitty hill is a waste and 10 pics to show 1 rig crossing some water is a waste even if that sweet rig is a first gen with a V8. Which by the way is really really sweet!!!

Thin it down a little please.

Looks like every one had a great day. I could have made it down but we are kinda in conserve mode till the squaw run.
