Eagle Lakes/Fordyce/Signal Peak Trip Report - 7/12/2009 (pic heavy and videos)

Met up with a couple guys yesterday from from the Norcal TTORA board and Rockalot from Yotatech. One of the guys from TTORA was in a stock 05 TRD Tacoma that he had never really wheeled before so we took him up Eagle Lakes trail to the Lakes and messed around on some other obstacles up there. He did really well for his first time and for how his truck was set up! After going up Eagle Lakes he had to get going so he headed out while the rest of us went up Fordyce. Rockalot and Hytenor from TTORA were in very well built swapped, dual cased, double ARB locked rigs that just owned everything that the trails threw at them. I was in my truck and did my best to keep up with them We headed down Fordyce to the first creek crossing and back then ended up going up Signal Peak as a spur of the moment kinda idea. Fordyce was pretty tough, but I did way better than the last time I went down after all that I've put into my truck the locker and crossmember got a lot of good use Anyways enough with the writing and on to the pics!

Signal Peak (there was another guy in a black Tacoma on the way up that was stuck that we helped out then he followed us up...

The other guys got some pics too so hopefully they'll post those up too

Hey it was great meeting y'all and wheeling!
Here are a few pics I shot...

Setting up for the face of Drive Line Hill

gittin it!

Almost up Drive Line

sweet ride

you never know what ul see i the woods! the tree grew around the beauty ring

lunch break at Eagle Lakes

back to wheeling!

entering Sunrise Ridge on the Fordyce Trail

Nice rig!

last part of Drive Line Hill

on our way to the 1st river crossing

some of the toughest wheeling of the day was just before the river

parked at the river

gotta get across that to keep going. Every year many rigs are swamped by this crossing and a few get washed down stream!

Cant wait till this weekend when my buds and I cross the stream and continue down the Fordyce Trail.
