No codes.
Hesitation goes away when O/D is disabled.

Once, reduced power, like it was on limp mode.
Cleared on it's own after a few seconds.
No codes...

Thumbs up Battery ground was a little loose

Validated drive by wire with cable backup.
Validated throttle motor, used ohm meter and it comes really close to my old one.

2001 4runner doesn't have a pedal sensor. The throttle body is controlled by cable. Also P1125 is for throttle control motor. 2001 4runner doesn't have that either.

Throttle position sensor 89452-22080 does NOT work in place of 8989452-35030.

Idle will increase to 1200RPM and throttle pedal is depressed 2/3 down to accelerate.

This version of a TPS has no way to take it apart without breaking the casing. Though the idea had spark an investigation - simply can get spray into the heart of the part.

2001 4runner Throttle position sensor 89452-35030

Random hesitation between 1300 - 1500 with no codes. Sparks, coils, spark wires test out OK. Tested TPS and discovered some weird ~3K ohm spot mid range motion.

Battery replaced still misfire when engine is warm at or about 50mph, no codes.

Let up throttle and misfire goes away.

Learned a lesson in trouble shooting today.

If a 2001, or about, 4runner has random cylinder misfire (P0300) and number 3 cylinder misfire (P0303) codes, plus VSC OFF, VSC TRAC and ENGINE lights...

Have you considered rebuilding the OEM carb? Maybe there's some performance parts for accelerator pump, jets and other goodies.
