Wow. almost one year and Im still not done with this swap. I'm getting into the wiring right about now. I'm using a 98 T100 ECU with a 97 3.4. Do you have any threads or posts with what you did with the wiring?

Yeah we had the t100 here. Very uncommon truck though, but Ive seen 3 or 4. I wanted to fit the original A340F (4wd 2nd gen) 4runner tranny to work with the 3.4l (since the tranny has just been rebuilt), but i also want to do a manual swap, so if the tranny may slip after some longterm use, it wouldnt be a problem. I just cant afford an engine AND tranny swap at the same time (manual trannys go for around $1k here!!!). Do you have any other suggestions or ideas on how to fit the stock tranny?

On my 3.4 swap, I used a T100 transmission and t-case. Not sure if you guys had that truck in Rico or not, that could be the deal breaker. My 1st transmission was the stock A340H, I had to use a T100 ecu for correct shifting and the speed sensors are different on the Tacoma and 4Runner. That transmission could not handle the supercharger and started slipping very soon after the swap. I still have a very ghetto shifter setup right now and have not figured a better setup yet. Wiring was stock

Hey, I just noticed something in your signature. You did a 3.4L swap on a 92 4Runner but used the 3rd gen auto tranny (A340F), right? How did you worked this out?

Can you help me out in doing this? I'm working on my 3.4L swap right now but I always thought that I had to change the tranny to a manual one... and since prices here (Puerto Rico) for used car parts are through the roof, maybe this can help me into saving my just rebuilt auto tranny.

You're the only one I've found who has done this, so any help will be greatly appreciated!
