The only thing I did was retorque the head bolts and run a garden hose through the coolant passages to flush everything out - the engine I got even had brand new NGK spark plugs in it. Most JDM engines come with some kind of warranty and with the low mileage engines like that there's less to worry about anyway

i had kinda figured on the tunning being an issue. so did you rebuild the jdm motor before you swaped it? i am hoping to do mine and then run it till i need to re-build and thenn doing some performance mods head porting and such.

You probably won't get an ECU with a JDM engine, I junkyarded everything but the engine on my swap - wire harness cost $30 and the ECU cost $20, with a standalone you'll be looking at a whole lot more just in the hardware not to mention many many hours of tune time to get it drivable. I'd stick with the factory ECU for simplicity (Supra or Cressida should work, anything with a 7M)

yeah i like it its pretty flexy but still just a bit stiff infront which will be good for when i get my 7m in there i moved the axle forward 2" it has a 3" BL (that i want to drop down to 2"), chev 63" springs in the back and yota rears up front. have you looked into the standalone ECU's at all because all the motors i ve looked at dont have ECU's with them?

That's a nice aggressive stance on your truck - a bit higher than I would run, but still sweet looking
