    Since I removed the stock fuel tank there was a large open area under my bed. My exhaust was always getting beat up by many of the BIG rocks on California harder trails. By tucking the muffler sideways where the fuel tank was gives me a lot more exhaust ground clearence and helps out in some of the water crossings. Plus it looks kool with the exhaust pipe coming out the bed side!
