    also i would check the fuel filter and check the spark plugs.

    also my truck did the same thing happened to my truck. my alternator was going bad and after running it for a while the battery got low enough to not put out fuel. but i have EFI

    all i can think of is its starving for fuel.
    do you have the stock carb?
