all i can say is research the hell out of it, i dont know about the abs. and if you want to use the 199mm brakes which are off the 2001 tunrda you can keep the rims you have if i remeber right, or you can go with 231mm brakes off a 2006 tundra but you will ethier have to use rims from a 2006 tundra or get rims like i have which are factory steel 16in rims, i think there six spoke. or the alternate to new rims is grinding down the ones you have to fit.

with the 231mm brakes you will get a big improment the only thing i dont like is that i dont have abs so it is really easy to lock up the brakes because our 4runners way so little compared to fullsize tundras. but if your runner shutters or shakes when you stop i would recomend the tundra brakes. and i havent had to replace the pads or anything since ive put them on and its been 20,000+ miles.

What size lift do you have on your 4runner? What kind?
