What is best to keep a simple 4runner yet a good recovery vehicle. is high steer a must? or will a drop link do? bumpers? winch? anything else? i am not gonna gear unless i go deep into my 4runner. i think a locked rear and bumpers is what ill do. any opinions lemme know!

Check the dist. seal..if you have not yet. The o-ring may be the cause

Oh and make sure you throw some zip lock bags over your electronics!!! I forgot about covering my girls alternator one time and had to buy her a new one.

The majority of the oil on these motors are handled on the passenger side. Are you sure it's not power steering fluid? The guy might of started a small leak when he was putting in that motor mount. It could be possible that the oil pan is leaking but I would think if that is the case the pan would be wetter than the block.

Best advice I can give you is run it by the car wash and clean the oil and dirt off, so when it leaks again you can have a better idea of where it's coming from and what it is. Also check your power steering hoses and make sure their not cracked.

Let me know what you find out!
