    honestly, i would not waste anytime with the 3.0. But since you got it, and it still runs. Headers and a decent high flow exhuast. 2 1/4 piping is pretty good for exhuast. With the headers, you prevent the exhaust valve burn happening to the 4th and 6th cylinder and it keeps that corner of the head cooler thus helping decrease the chance of headgasket failure. Otherwise as soon as the 3.0 dies. Swap a 3.4 in. I did it and i regret that I did not perform the swap as soon as i got the truck but instead threw in a rebuilt 3.0. As far as gearing, i've got the 4.56 gears and its great for city driving with 31's however on the highway i'm at 3 grand doing 70 and i have people passing me still. I'm sure the 4.56 gears are throwing off the speedo. So i picked up some 16's from a 4runner and will run the 265/75/r16 tires.
