What happens if your primary battery becomes completely submerged in water (deep river closing)? Will my electronics short out? The impetus of my question is based on my desire to set up a dual battery system. Due to the lack of space in the engine compartment, I would place my primary battery tucked underneath my rig next to the fuel tank. My secondary (Deep Cycle) battery would occupy where my primary battery used to reside in the engine compartment. I'm curious when I'm on Fordyce crossing the first, second or the committee trail river crossing and the battery (Optima Red Top) gets completely submerged, will my vehicle die or any of my electronics short out?
