I used the Sky plate as a template to cut my new plate out of 3/16" steel. (You'll see the bottom hole in later pics.) Then for the top cube portion i used 1/8" 2"x2" angle iron. I think they were 1.375". Then. I welded them together like this: L7. And then simply cut a piece of plate to cap it off.
