Wheeling SoCal
Hi Group:
I'm trying to decide whether to head to Moab or SoCal over my srping break (April '07). I;ve been to Moab a few times and love it, but have head that there are some great sites in SoCal (I'd like to explore aroung Palm Spings / Joshua Tree area. So any thoughts / recommendations for SoCal????
Thanks,

There's places to wheel all over so-cal, but I would'nt waste anytime in the palm springs area, joshua tree is nice, but not enough there to base a vacation on. There are some great OHV area's in cali though. I would look into some of those. Hungry Vally is supposed to be alot of fun, Big bear has some great trails according to a good friend of mine. And if you like romping around in the mud at all, Azusa canyon is a great place for that, be sure to go on a Sunday.

Out of the places I've wheeled in SoCal - Big Bear, Hungry Valley, Rowher Flats, Silverado Canyon , Death Valley, Pismo, and a couple other smaller places - Big Bear has been the most fun.
The trails are challenging and varied. The scenery is great. Then if you're hankerin for some really hardcore stuff, The Hammers trails are close to Big Bear.
