I just bought a 2wd 93 Pickup with a 22RE &automatic for $3000. It has 94,000 miles on it Everything works perfect, except the cruise control. It dose nothing at all. I thought maybe it was the fuse, but I cant find the stupid thing. Where is it at, or what could it be causing it not to work? thanks in advance.

cruise control on these things are garbage. they cant hold hold there own on even the slightest incline. but i also have a lot more weight on my 4wd runner than u do in a 2wd pickup.

 

I had CC on my 90 4runner and it worked when I bought it. It was always real jerky like. It seemed like it was give it throttle, or completely let off, so I never used it. Now, after 6 months of neglecting the CC, its broke. screw it, it aint worth my time nohow

 

I'd try www.4crawler.com and see if he has anything on it. If it can be done to a 1st gen RB has tried it/done it.

 

Well, I'm winging this but check around the throttle linkage for a loose cable. Usually, there is a cable for the gas pedal then a second one for the cruise control. I've seen them come off before on other cars, but never had a Toyota with cruise control so I don't know for sure!!!
