Serviceable EGR Valves?
why couldn't they have made EGR valves to be serviceable units? Seems to me that with their high sticker price and the general publics unwillingness to replace them regularly only adds to emissions.

very good point...Japan was probably just jumping through the hoops the bureaucrats mandated at the time.
