ARB snorkel... How do I make it work with an EFI toy?

So i was wondering if anyone has put an ARB snorkel on an 86 toyota with the EFI. I contacted ARB and they told me that they do not make the snorkel for fuel injected trucks like mine, however, they said that it will fit the body and it can work. but i would have to make up a way to run it to the air box. it sounds simple enough, but i want to know if any of you have done it and how before i buy one.

thanks!

youll need an adapter plate(the kind you use to use a cone filter, try ebay) and some tubing, just run the tubing from the adapter to the snorkel.

I thought they made them for the efi.....hmmmm

Seems to me something like that would be easy to fab up yourself. That's just my own opinion though...

you don't HAVE to have an adapter plate, I've seen these type things fabbed out of everything from Aluminum tubing (PRO looking, $$$) down to gutter hose, or HVAC ducting (not so great looking but not $ either). Search for ISR Mod, and look at some of the ways the newer 3.4 guys have fabbed up portions of intake tube, and you should probably get some ideas.
