should my 82 have a smog pump if so does some one know were i can get info at it im trying to register my truck and just seeing what im missing emmisions wise

 

in ca youll need one to pass the visual (IF they look ). a junkyard should have it.

 

Smog pumps were pretty much a California only thing for many years. Federal trucks used a "pulse-air" system if any at all. Look for a ~2" diameter spherical plastic piece under the intake manifold towards the front. It will have two large (5/8" id) hoses attached to it. If it isn't there, look for where the hoses hook up to the engine (one is on the underside of the air cleaner) to see if was even there in the first place.
