Highs disappear as volume maxes
I have an interesting problem.
I have two sets of components, 4 ohm, wired in parallel to creating a 2 ohm load, to two channels on a RF P2002 amp.
When I start reaching the top end of the volume levels the highs die and the mids keep going. Very interesting. The only thing I can think of is that the crossovers are having an issue with the ohm load. Once I drop the volume down to about the middle it comes back until I almost max it out again.
I would appreciate your opinions and advice.

the frequency repsonse of our hearing isnt linear either.
ie if you got the little hiars in your ear cannal peged over... they arnt going to move much with the tiny high frequency's when they are being overpowered by huge lower freq "waves"
if that makes sence
ie ask a friend what he thinks, or better yet ask a refrance mike and spectrium anlizier what it thinks.

my thoughts exactly! If you can relocate one set of the crossovers to where you can see them, max out the volume again. Ill bet ya a box of donuts the fuses on the tweet protection circuit flash like strobes! hehe
Ive seen mb quarts and kicker ss do this...
