Burning MP3 discs for car stereos

Found some info on the 'Net for making an MP3 disc instead of an audio one when using iTunes.

When I had the 4Runner, I had to make audio CDs as my Sony deck did not do MP3 or WMAs like the new decks do these days.

I have a 30 GB iPod Video I bought after Thanksgiving.
I mainly used it to jam to while I walked during my breaks or lunches at work.

Then when I got the FJ a few weeks back, I hooked it upto the FJammer and it was great!
But the FJammer stereo in the FJ Cruiser can also play MP3 and WMA files burned to disc.

I have burned many audio CDs with iTunes of my own MP3s and the iTunes Stores files I buy from them, and played them in the 4Runner.

Just went into the config area of iTunes and changed it to burn an MP3 disc instead and made a playlist of about 80 songs I normally listen to with the iPod.

It burned it great, and I just got done testing it in the rig.
At first all I saw were the numbers of the songs, then I clicked the Text button, and you have several choices of how you want it displayed, pretty cool.
I just leave it so it says MP3 and the name of the song.

I will use the disc at times when I am in a hurry and do not grab the iPod or do not feel like bringing it along.

Props to Toyota for making the FJammer MP3 and WMA, and of course MP3 player compatible.

What is everyone here who listens to MP3 discs in their rigs use for software?
Will Nero also put in the ID tags of the songs, or is it best to stick with iTunes since it did such a great job on my first try?

I use Nero, and it does tag the song with the artist and title in the CD player in the Escort, however, that CD player does support XM satelite radio, and I have heard from some sources that say that will also tag the song with the artist/title.

i use itunes as well, if you have your songs organized as in like under song title u have jsut the name of the song and under artist you have the artist, etc. it will be fine. Or if you dont really care u can do it anyway u want. The most songs i have gotten on a disk is like 162 songs. I have been burning MP3 for like 1 1/2-2 years now. Ill show yall a pic of wut i mean when i get on my cpu.

yeah, i have used nero ever since itunes quit working for me, it always comes up with a disk error ever since DULL tech support had me change a registry entry to get cd drives to work... bad thing ive noticed is that other software always drops mp4 and protected songs, while itunes used to somehow burn them so that they would work on my radio

Winamp works well for me when it comes to ID tagging, and windows explorer works just fine when burning an MP3 disk.
