Hi guys, my trucks Borla catback rusted out at the cat!!! The flange and the hanger right behind the cat are gone, leaking and wont pass inspection! I finally "2 months later" got the part from Borla which I have to tell you have the WORST customer service Ive ever dealt with and I think they sent me the wrong damn pipe~! The pipe that rotted out bolts to the cat and has a metal bracket welded to the flange that you hook the 2 rubber mounts to, the one they sent me does not have that.. my question is, should it have that on it or could it be that the part they sent me when I bought the system 6 years ago that rotted out have been wrong! It makes sense to me that it would have the hanger bracket like the stock cat back, unless the bracket is stock and bolts onto the Borla pipe. I cant find any pictures of another Borla cat back or a good shot of a stock system anywhere. Its sad that a $400 stainless system wont pass inspection with 60k miles and 6 years of use on it.. Ill never buy another Borla product and wont reccomend them to anyone else again. Can some one please let me know if there should be a hanger on this pipe, if so Ill get to call Borla again! Stainless steel shouldnt rust, thats why I bought it to begin with! Thanks again, Matt

 

Does anyone know if this exhaust should have the hanger on the pipe right behind the cat? Im going to install it tomorrow afternoon but if I need to have some one weld a hanger bracket on it Ill get that done in the morning. If it doesnt need it Ill install it but its strange that the one on it now that rusted out has the brakcet, I just dont want my cat and cat back hanging from my head pipe un supported. Anyone???
