MPG w/ Manual Hubs

Today w/ my first fill up since I installed the Aisin manual hubs I showed 14.7mpg I used to get between 12.6 to 13.5 I am sure this is a little lower than I will be averaging since I spent a lot of time driving in the city this past weekend & was also enjoying the new acceleration from lights.

I am still amazed at how different my 4Runner feels when driving. I think the best way to describe it is that its smoother now when I'm driving.

Thats good to hear, I have to try to find a set of manual hubs sometime soon and convert. How long did it take you?

I would say about 45mins on the first one just because I was being careful not to screw anything up. After I saw how easy it was the 2nd one took maybe 20mins. The part that took the most time was painting the hubs & greasing them up.

I have to say I really did enjoy this mod. It was easy & it looks good to.

I did the same mod this past Saturday, and I could tell a difference in the way it drove too. Seemed a little quicker.
