IFS Calipers on 62 Rotors using SA knuckles

Here is a chance for some tech and bailing my tail out.

I have:
-Stock solid axle knuckles (from an 8? Mini)
-Stock IFS calipers (from my 95 V-6 Runner)
-FJ-62 Rotors
-Stock brake pads for my calipers (Toyota)

The caliper will not bolt to the knuckle.

I tried 62 pads but those do not look anywhere near close enough to fit the calipers. Anyone have a PN to confirm?

This is what I need to do on the truck, everyone else does it, but mine WILL NOT bolt on.

I just did it, but needed to trim the dust shield to bolt mine up. I need to double check what rotors I used, but I know they were not from an FJ62.

The dust shield is spartan, just the ring at the spindle and the tab to hold the hard line.

I think the rotor and pad manufacture are the rubs.

Why won't it bolt up, what rubs or interferes? Mine bolted up after trimming the shield. I did find out one of my caliper bolts dug into the rotor because the lock washer on that particular bolt was too thin. I ended up shaving all the bolts because I wanted more space between the bolts and the rotor.

The other thing is my pads are pretty much brand new and I had to push the pads apart as far as they would go. I noticed the new rotor from the kit wasn't perfectly centered between the pads, it's offset by about 1/8", but the play in the pistons sucked up the difference.

Wow, I have a significant disability.

When I trimmed the backing plates, it was pretty slice and go. When I was putting the new pads in the rotors it was late and I was spent.

Turns out I am a fool. The part I tried to additionally cut and fold back was hitting the caliper below where I was holding it. I outsmarted myself, cut more and they work fine.

Yes, that SOB drives!
