Windows Media Center Royale Theme for XP

If you've ever used MCE and liked the new theme, well now you can try it out on XP.

Download this file:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-13027.html

Unzip it to your desktop.

There's a setup file along with some goofy looking wallpaper inside. Run the setup file and install it into a new folder on your desktop (not C:\WINDOWS).

In that folder you'll see two folders. One is Resources and another is Web. Double click Resources, then Themes and you'll see a folder and a file called Royale. Copy both into C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.

Now go back to the beginning of the folder, and double click Web, then Wallpaper. Copy that image to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.

Now you can close everything out. Right click on your Desktop and click properties. Click the drop down box on the Themes tab, and you'll see the new theme Royale. Select it, click Apply, and you're done.

I think it looks better than XP's Luna theme:

Looks nice. The link doesn't work though. Is it free for 30 days or?? I used to have theme XP but the version I have doesn't work with service pack 2.

Gah... try this one and click on one of the mirrors:

It's free forever, and permanent. It's basically integrating a real theme into Windows if you follow the steps I wrote above.

I checked the file for virus/malware issues, and my scans came up clean.
