bushings for lateral (panhard) rod

Hi,

Has anyone replaced the bushings on their 3rd gen's lateral/panhard rod? I just noticed that the bushings on mine are gone at the sides so there's about 1/8" gap between the rod eye and the bracket.

I checked with our local Toyota dealer here and they said that there's no replacement part for it because it comes with the rod (guy showed me the Toyota EPC diagram).

I'd like to replace the ones on mine so maybe an aftermarket replacement is available in the US? I checked with the ES website but it's not on their catalog.

Appreciate any input on this. Thanks.

Good question/observation. I know I'm going to take a look at mine.

From what I hear, the bushings cannot be replaced. (Not that the rubber gromet couldnt be pulled out, and a new one inserted in, but Toyota doesnt sell them) I don't know of anyone aftermarket. I also never tried to replace them, but it looked fairly simple when I had my panhard off. If in fact you can, try junkyards, you might be able to find an extra panhard there, or people sell them here from time to time.

I wonder if DayStar or Energy Suspensions has a bushing that could be cross referenced to fit.

Im pretty sure someone makes a poly bushing for the panhard bar. Check Wheelers Offroad, they might have one?
