squeaky brake pedal

Hi everyone. My truck's brake pedal is driving me insane. Everytime I release the brake pedal after braking, it makes a loud squeaking sound. Anyone know what this might be and how to fix it. Thanks for the help.

Is the noise from inside the cab? Get on your back on the floorboard, put pressure on the brake with your hand, notice what moves, and lube it all with some WD-40 or better lubricant. I like the Slick 50 lube.

Hey, mine squeaks too, but if you turn up the radio, you wont hear it. I never hear it until I lower my radio, but I cant even hear myself with my two 12inch woofers.

Sometimes a leak will develop from the vacuum booster and funny noises will come from the firewall.

Mine does the above occasionally, when I step on the brake. The high-pitched whistling nearly drove me nuts until I figured out what was causing it. I thot it was the tach goin' out. Now when it does that, I just move the brake pedal a small amount and it usually goes away. I'm not looking to tear into my booster, just to replace a seal. Since it doesn't make that sound when I'm driving, I'm pretty sure there is no vacuum leak.
