is my 93 toyota v6 4x4 IFS front third member/diff 7.5" or 8"? im not sure because when i checked the code on my door, i matched it with another website that tells you the codes, and it only gave me the rear size which is 8". also, whats the difference between 4cyl 8" and V6 8" third members/diffs?
any help is appreciated. thanks

Fronts are 'usually' 7.5" for your year model. Here's a link for more info:

Should have the 7.5 in the front.

The V6 rear has a heavier casting, gears, and I believe bearings. It does swap into a 4 cyl axle housing. I have used some of the charts that said a truck has a 4 cyl diff, but looking at the housing could see it was a V6 diff.

The pinion bearings ar larger than the 4 cyl ones. I just put 4 cyl gear in a V-6 carrier. Had to usr the V-6 install kit for the bearings.

Youre front IFS is 7.5"

The V6 third member has one extra rib cast into the outside for strength around the pinion area. Compare it to a 4 cylinder and you'll see what I mean.
