16" wheels 35" tires on 1st gen?

Was wondering how these wheels/tires would fit and look on a 1st gen? I was going to go with the typical 15x10 35" tires but these caught my eye. Lift is 4in suspension and 3in body.

THANKS!

i'd probably stay away from 16" wheels and go with 15s. 16" tires are typically made for the rigs that originally had 16" wheels, which are 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, and usually have a really stiff sidewall.

What year first gen? '85 and before, no problem due to SFA.
Post '85, well, 35's are awfully hard on the IFS...

Be sure to look at the load rating if you're going to be driving on the road much. With our light vehicles, D or E will ride pretty harsh. Biggest bummer about 16's is it seems all the tires are metric sized.

its actually an 89. i've been hearing people running 35 with minimal issues, but I guess that can vary from vehicle to vehilcle. i will check into that load rating. thanks
